Is KZKT free? +
Yes. Every feature is free, one page at a time. The Supporter Pass (Rp15.000 a year) unlocks batch translation of whole chapters.
Do I need an API key? +
For cloud AI, yes: your own key from Google Gemini, Anthropic, OpenAI or OpenRouter (Gemini has a free tier). Or translate offline with an on-device model, no key needed.
Does it work without internet? +
Yes, with the LiteRT provider and an on-device model like Gemma or Qwen. Detection, OCR, cleaning and typesetting always run on the phone.
Are my images uploaded? +
No. Only the text inside the bubbles goes to the AI provider. With an offline model nothing leaves the phone.
Which APK should I install? +
arm64-v8a for almost every phone from the last years. armeabi-v7a for old 32-bit phones, x86_64 for emulators and ChromeOS, universal if you are not sure.
Android says the app is from an unknown source. +
KZKT is installed from GitHub, not the Play Store. Allow Install unknown apps for the browser or file manager you opened it with.
Where are the translated pages saved? +
In /Download/KZKT/ on your phone, and in the History tab.
How do I update? +
KZKT tells you when a new release is out. Install the new APK over the old one; history and settings stay.
Can I move the Supporter Pass to a new phone? +
The key is tied to one Device ID. Send the new Device ID on Facebook and ask for a new key.
